Kristin: Jeffrey, what can you do to speed up a sluggish panel discussion?
Jeffrey: “I’m going to ask you three quick questions.” Okay, so have something in the back of your pocket that you might say, “What’s your favorite? This, what’s this? What’s this?” You know, something that you can ask. Boom, boom, boom. “All right, next guy. So I’m going to. I’m going to ask you now. I’m going to go to you. I’m going to add to you. You’ve got no time to think about this. I mean, if you think about time, you’re, you’re done.”
I’m moving to the next person so that right away, I take back control. I’m going to put it to you. We’re going to go like that. So rapid fire.” You got 30 seconds to answer this one single question. This is the most important question that we can ask of the entire day of the entire panel. This entire conference. I’m going to ask you this single question. You have 30 seconds. Are you prepared to answer the question? I’m going to go with you. I’m going to go to you. I’m going to go to you here. Let’s get the timers, everybody get your watch out.”
You know? So now I’ve got the audience involved, now I’m setting the expectation. So that’s another way that you can start to do that.
